Things have been quite interesting this past week...I found myself excessively hungry, and wanting to eat all the time. I thought it was just because I was nauseous from the after effects of the stomach flu we all had, and I was just eating to make up for it. Nothing wasn't on the menu- including PB from the jar, because the kids ate all the crackers! I started thinking about the last time I had this feeling, and then it struck me.
It might not be PMS.
The last time I felt like this, I was pregnant with my son.
And then I also realized I was late. I am never late. Times Square could set their clocks to my uterus. At least until today.
I bought one of those wonderful stick things that costs WAY too much, and the result was negative- but I am still bloated, cranky and hungry for that salt/sugar thing. What was going on??
Then my darling husband decided to give me a hint. He said "You just turned 41- maybe you are starting 'The Change'." I replied with a pillow upside his head.
But maybe he was right! My mom went though this when she around 43, and girls seems to be maturing a lot faster these days, so maybe it really is my time. All I know is I feel VERY fat, and VERY irritable, and there just isn't enough food in the house to make me happy. I doubt the supermarket would have enough food to make me happy!
I am going to wait a few weeks and see if anything 'happens'. If not, I am taking another pregger test, just to make sure. And of course, I don't have any baby stuff- we got rid of all that about three years ago.
How will this effect this blog? Well, if I am indeed pregnant, I can't lose weight (at least not drastically- not that I am anyway!), so I will focus on eating healthier, less processed foods. If it is indeed 'The Change', I am really going to have to start sticking to the program and stepping it up a few notches.
Until I know officially, I am going to try to stick to my menu and eat less- but the cravings are getting really bad! Pray for me, will you? If either one of these things has happened to me, a lot will change, body-wise....
What a mess!
